Dr. Diana Friedland was an Associate Professor at CUNY's John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She passed away in January, 2011. In her honor, I am collecting donations for a memorial that will be put outside of John Jay College of Criminal Justice. The exact memorial will depend on the number of donations I receive. Currently, they are creating a new building at John Jay that has available bricks, benches and trees that can be made into memorials (www.jjay.cuny.edu). Diana was not only a teacher but an inspiration to many, particularly female, students. She was loved and will always be loved by the many people who's lives she has touched.
